JEROME, Idaho (CBS 2) — A Jerome area apartment complex had to be evacuated Wednesday night after wanted suspect hid inside one of the units, police say.
Jerome Police says police in southern Idaho had been looking for Carlos A. Larios, 22, this week after he managed to escape a bond agent on Monday and a vehicle pursuit in Twin Falls County on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, police say they received information that Larios was inside one of the units at the Northside Court Apartments. After numerous attempts to get him to surrender, police evacuated the apartment complex and later a tactical team went inside and took him into custody.
No injuries were reported.
"The Jerome Police Department wishes to thank the residents of Northside Court Apartments and the surrounding area for their cooperation and support during the operation," a news release states. "Residents were greatly inconvenienced but in most cases, they displayed cooperation and support."
