Rey Mysterio completed his 20 years in WWE recently. He started his career in wrestling at the young age of 14. Being a part of many pay per view events, Rey Mysterio has faced many superstars and has become the highlight of the same. He gained the respect of almost all of his mates.

Rey Mysterio and John Cena share an amazing bond

When Rey Mysterio joined WWE, no one believed that this guy would stay for long. WWE, at that time, had strong hefty men. Rey Mysterio was neither tall nor seemed powerful. But in a short duration, he won the audience with his skills. He is one of the most skilled WWE professionals and the other people in the company are well aware of it. 

WWE had planned a video for Rey Mysterio in which various WWE celebrities spoke about him and the moments they shared with him. John Cena was also a part of the clip in which he said, “Rey was instrumental in working with me very early on in my career. Performers like Rey really molded the way that I perform today which is extremely improvisational and a lot based on how you feel.” These words coming from someone like John Cena hold a special significance. 

Rey is still a part of the company and performs for the RAW brand even at the age of 47. He is still the most active superstar till date. He has also introduced his son Dominik Mysterio to the ring. One thing that John Cena also said is that someone will just look up at Rey Mysterio and say just one word – Impossible. 

“Rey’s legacy in a few words – Impossible is nothing. By line-up standards, Rey Mysterio shouldn’t exist and he’s one of the most decorated superstars in WWE history,” added John Cena. John Cena also learnt many things from Rey Mysterio. The two superstars have many great moments in and outside the show. It will be such a treat to the eyes if we ever get to witness the same in the WWE ring again.
